Physiotherapy BSc (Hons)
Matthew Bowes gained his physiotherapy BSc (Hons) degree in 1996 from Salford University in Manchester and since has spent his time working both in the NHS and private practice throughout the UK and Australia.
Matthew Bowes has subsequntly completed many postgraduate qualifications the most recent including:
Postgraduate Certificate in Exercise Rehabilitation
Awarded by Bradford University in 2006 after working alongside some of the leading physiotherapist in the UK.
Diploma in Injection Therapy
Awarded in 2004 after training with leading physiotherapists and doctors in this field, including the team doctor for Chelsea F.C.
In 2009 Matthew Bowes became one of the first physiotherapists in the U.K. to gain a supplementary prescribing qualification for musculoskeletal conditions from York University.
York NHS Foundation Trust
In addition to private practice commitments Matthew Bowes is also a specialist physiotherapist working for York NHS Foundation Trust, where his main duties include:
- Specialist assessment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and post operative and fracture patients.
- Regional joint and soft tissue injection clinics.
- Development of musculoskeletal prescribing practice.
Matthew Bowes is also a member of the Society of Orthopedic Medicine, registered with the Health Professionals Council and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
